I found a free tool that can protect your home title from theft.

Most people are familiar with identity theft, but have you ever heard of title theft? It happens when a scammer targets a home that doesn't have an existing mortgage, is vacant and not monitored, or has an elderly or vulnerable owner. The scammer basically takes identity theft to the next level. They could file for a home equity line and drain it, or even put the title in their name and sell the property or rent it out. It’s terrible.

What can you do to prevent this? There are a lot of services advertised that lock titles, but I have a free one for you. Click here to access this free tool done by the county’s office. All you have to do is fill in your name and email address, then you're signed up! With this service, if anyone files a lien against your property or if there’s a title transfer, you will be notified.

This tool is free, and you can add up to five properties per email address. I truly believe it will help protect you, and I don’t want you to have to spend your money on other services. Let me know if you have questions about this or anything else related to real estate. You can call or email me anytime—I would love to catch up with you!
